PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize the data transfer between a master unit and a plurality of slave units. SOLUTION: Upon receipt of a detection signal broadcast from a slave unit ID allotter 52 of a master unit 40, an answer signal sender 26 of each slave unit 10 starts counting down from a calculated initial value of a timer, based on own serial number, and proceeds to a waiting state for receiving the next detection signal, if receiving an answer signal originating from some other slave unit 10 before the count value reaches 0, or sends an answer signal when the count value reaches 0 while not receiving. A specification information acquirer 54 of the slave unit 10 acquires specification information of a sensor 12 connected to the slave unit 10 from the slave unit 10 which returns an answer signal, and the slave unit ID allotter 52 gives a slave unit ID.
