PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image memory pixel restoring circuit for improving the memory yield of a large-capacity image memory built-in type LSI for application to computer graphics or image processing. SOLUTION: This pixel restoration circuit comprises a means for storing pixels with parity bits added in a pixel component unit, and a means for inspecting the parity bits at the scanning of the pixels, after rendering to convert them to video signal, and substituting, in case of an error detected, a value obtained by filtering a plurality of pixels in the vicinity of the parity error detection point by a parity error pixel.
