PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apparatus, method and program for image processing capable of extracting an area for supplying each expression simply and naturally with a priority order, when a plurality of expressions are to be supplied to an image data. SOLUTION: A group feature calculation section 2 divides the image data into a plurality of group areas, calculates a group area feature amount on a basis of each group area, and stores the feature amount into a group feature storage 4 on a basis of each group area. An integration area calculation section 5 integrates the plurality of group areas based on the feature amount stored in the group feature storage 4, and generates a plurality of integration areas.
