PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor suitable for a contact electrification system and achieving a faster operation, higher picture quality and quieter sound, and to provide an electrophotographic apparatus and an electrophotographic cartridge equipped with the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor to be electrified by a contact electrification member has a photosensitive layer on a cylindrical substrate. The photoreceptor contains a substance essentially consisting of cellulose fibers. The electrophotographic apparatus and the electrophotographic cartridge are equipped with the above photoreceptor.
