PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start reproduction from data recorded previously most in a data group being reproducing by only simple operation. SOLUTION: An apparatus detects that a user performs one-touch operation of a reproduction key (S5) during reproducing a program file recorded in a HDD and displaying it on a display (S1), the apparatus displays such a message on the display that reproduction is started from initial data of the program file (S7). After that, in the apparatus, a read-out head is moved (skip) at once to a position of the first data of the program file (a last recorded data), after finish of movement, read-out/reproduction is started from moved data.
