PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granulation treatment method for the sintering raw material in iron making, in the production of sintered ore used as the raw material for blast furnace charging in a pig iron making, which is effective for the granulation of the sintering raw material for iron making such as powder iron ore, and, even in the case the granulation properties of the sintering raw material for iron making are remarkably improved, fuel such as coke is segregated on the upper layer of the sintering raw material layers, maintains and improves its ignitionability to the sintering raw material layers, and can realize the sufficient productivity of the sintered ore. SOLUTION: Regarding the granulation treatment method for the raw material in iron making, in a method where the sintering raw material in iron making including powder iron ore is subjected to granulation treatment in the presence of fuel essentially composed of coke and/or anthracite, a stage wherein an amino group and/or amide group-containing compound is added to a part or the whole of the coke and/or anthracite, and a stage wherein the fuel obtained by the stage is subjected to granulation treatment together with the sintering raw material in iron making are included.
