PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely simply and inexpensively provide a fishhook in which a bulged material 4 is formed so that a caught fish is not simply disconnected. SOLUTION: A barb 2 is formed in a stage before quench hardening and the tip of the barb 2 is pushed down so as to ground onto the outer surface of the fishhook 1 in the next step and the part of the barb 2 is raised in protruded arcuate shape when viewed from the side and then quenched. Only tip 2a of the barb 2 is grounded to the outer surface of the fishhook 1 and a space 5 is formed between the other part of the barb 2 and the outer surface of the fishhook 1.
