Axial piston engine and associated control system to dampen peak gas flow impulses by an inertia regulation passage

An axial piston engine has a control system that dampens the peak gas flow impulses by an inertia regulation passage with a cross sectional area less than 3 mm2 and a length that is at least one eighth of the circumference. The inertia regulation passage extends at least 45 degrees if it passes around the valve plate. The inertia regulation passage links the valve inlet with the commensurate displacement component over a pre-defined time lapse, before the displacement component is linked to the connector as a result of cylinder block rotation. Also claimed is a process to form the inertia regulation passage.
