Plastic container treatment machine has energy source for changing surface properties of each container

The machine has an energy source(6) which emits and/or radiates a high energy output for altering the surface characteristics of plastic containers(5) such as bottles and canisters. The energy source(6) can be either: a) a plasma generator used either under normal atmospheric conditions; b) a laser; c) a light source or d) an open flame. The machine is a modular machine and containers(5) may either move around a circular(2) or linear path through the machine. Two or more energy sources can be used simultaneously. An independent claim is included for an operating method for the container treatment machine in which container surfaces properties are altered using an energy source to removing substances or components from the surfaces.
