Hydrolytic stabilizer with an epoxide content of at least 1.5 wt.% comprises 10-90 wt.% of an epoxidized long-chain fatty alkyl ester (I) and 10-90 wt.% of epoxidized fatty acid glycerides (II). Independent claims are also included for: (1) hydrolytic stabilizer with an epoxide content of at least 1.5 wt.% and a carbodiimide (NCN) content of at least 2 wt.%, comprising 10-90 wt.% (I), 9.9-60 wt.% (II) and 0.1-30 wt.% bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)carbodiimide (III); (2) producing a hydrolytic stabilizer as above by mixing (I), (II) and optionally (III) together at 20-120[deg]C until a liquid product is obtained.
