<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor having a position sensor disposed so as to reduce the total height of the motor and detecting a rotor position. <P>SOLUTION: The electric motor is provided with a motor flange, a housing, a rotor, a stator and at least one position sensor for detecting the rotor position.
