INFRARED RADIATOR, METHODS FOR ITS OPERATION, AND METHOD ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an infrared radiator in a simple form provided with a heating conductor consisting of carbon and provided with appropriate spacers between the heating conductor and a sleeve tube consisting of silica glass. SOLUTION: The heating conductor is constituted as a narrow extended band. At least one of the spacers is constituted as a plate and the plate is provided with an opening passing the heating conductor through and the plate at least partially fills up the open cross section between the heating conductor and the sleeve tube.
