PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data converting system for executing a conversion processing of high quality data at low costs. SOLUTION: This data converting system includes a first storage means with a large capacity and low speed operation for storing an LUT, a second storage means with a small capacity and high speed operation for storing a portion of LUT, and a third storage means with a small capacity and high speed operation for storing the reference information of data stored in the second storage means. When the data are input, whether or not the conversion data corresponding to the input data exist in the second storage means is judged by using the reference information stored in the third storage means, and when it is judged that the conversion data exist, the corresponding conversion data are selected and output from the second storage means, and in the other case, the corresponding conversion data are selected and output from the first storage means.
