PURPOSE: A method of cooking a food using a chicken, an eel and a bamboo is provided. The food product is removed in the unpleasant smell peculiar to a chicken and an eel while having characteristic flavor of bamboo. CONSTITUTION: A chicken whose intestine is removed is soaked in a bamboo extract of 26 to 45deg.C for 5 to 15min, an eel is soaked in a bamboo extract of room temperature for 5 to 10min respectively. Then, the eel is sprinkled with salt, the intestine is removed therefrom, the eel is introduced into a bamboo vessel. The chicken and the bamboo vessel are soaked in a dilute solution containing a bamboo extract and drinking water in a weight ratio of 1:1 to 1:10 and then heated at atmospheric pressure. The chicken, bamboo vessel and dilute solution are heated at a pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure. In the process, garlic, ginger and bamboo leaves can be introduced into the bamboo vessel. |
