Road edge block comprises a base portion 2 with a raised portion 5 projecting from its upper surface, the thickness of the portion 5 tapering in the direction from one longitudinal side of the block to the other. The thinner side of the portion 5 stops short of the edge 4 of the base portion leaving a channel 11 for rainwater adjacent the road, the thickness of the base portion tapering in the opposite direction from the raised portion to drain water away from the road. The end face 10 of the raised portion facing oncoming traffic may be coated with white reflective material and the other face with red reflective material.</p> |
