摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to irradiate a photodetector for a monitor with sufficient light quantity for stably controlling an optical output of a light source by simple configuration without reducing light quantity for the main purpose. <P>SOLUTION: An optical device provided in an optical pickup 20 is composed of 1st and 2nd light sources 21, 22, an optical branching element 25, a condenser lens 27, a mounting base 28, a photodetector 26, and projecting pieces 29 formed on the condenser lens 27. The condenser lens 27 guides light 23a which is transmitted from the 1st light source 21 and optically branched by the optical branching element 25 or reflected light 24a from the 2nd light source 22 to the photodetector 26. The photodetector 26 for the optical output monitor is irradiated with a sufficient light quantity for stably controlling the optical output by holding the projecting pieces 29 formed extending like rods in the direction perpendicular to the lens axis 43 of the condenser lens 27, and adjusting a mounting position of the condenser lens 27 onto the mounting base 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
