<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multiplxer/demultiplexer and a manufacturing method therefor, permitting easy assembly, high productivity, and a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The optical multiplxer/demultiplexer 1 comprises a substrate 2 with a V-groove 4 formed, optical fibers 5 to 7 with lenses arranged sticking to the V-groove 4, an optical fiber fixing plate 8, a groove 3 formed to cross the V-groove 4, and an optical filter 9 placed in the groove 3. On one side to the groove 3, the optical fibers 5, 7 with lenses are arranged, and on the other side, the optical fiber 6 with a lens is arranged, so that the positions of the tip parts are aligned with end parts of the groove 3. The optical fiber 6 with the lens is located in the same axis as the optical fiber with the lens across the groove 3, and the optical fiber 7 with the lens is located in the line-symmetrical position to the direction vertical to the groove 3 as the axis of symmetry. the tip parts of the optical fibers with the lenses 5 to 7 are formed aslant so that the the normals to the end faces are orthogonal to the groove 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
