PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the independent source system which can correspond to a variety of electrical equipment further with the system portable in accordance with the selection of a user. SOLUTION: A small-sized self-contained battery 30 and an external battery 40 detachable for the source system 10 are respectively connected to a solar battery 20 and a charge controller 50 through switch circuits SW1 to SW4. The charge controller 50 includes a power supply supplying electric power to an electric load 60, and a control unit selectively charging/discharging each battery. The control unit turns the switch circuit SW1 on and the circuit SW2 off, to preferentially charge the self-contained battery 30. The control unit, after the self-contained battery 30 is charged, turns the switch circuit SW1 off and the circuit SW2 on, to charge the external battery 40. The control unit turns the switch circuit SW3 off and the circuit SW4 on, to preferentially discharge the external battery 40. The control unit turns the switch circuit SW3 on and the circuit SW4 off to discharge the self-contained battery 30 after the external battery 40 is discharged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
