PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filing system which stores image data to be stored in a storing means, insures the security of image data stored by specified information by storing the specified information while being coordinated with the stored image data and also has high convenience by making it possible to easily retrieve needed data. SOLUTION: A controller 110 stores, for instance, image data that are read from an original image by a scanner 101 and are processed together with the information, etc., of a reuser who is allowed to retrieve and read image data acquired from a touch panel 105 in a storage device 104 in accordance with a processing instruction from a contained copied function and enables retrieval and reading only according to a request from the reuser.
