PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving apparatus avoiding as much as possible, an unwanted wave from being sent out by operation on a data broadcast receiving picture. SOLUTION: With regard to data broadcast viewing using a terrestrial wave digital tuner 230, a mobile telephone system 2 is configured to set a mode for inhibiting a link connection from the data broadcast receiving picture on the basis of a user operation. For example, a menu picture is called, a cursor is placed on an item where "link inhibit" is described, and a determine key is pressed or the like to set the inhibit mode. When an instruction of a link connection is received on the data broadcast receiving picture, a CPU 209 confirms a link inhibit mode setting situation.
