PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contrast improving means capable of improving the contrast of a projected image without sacrificing the brightness of an image projector. SOLUTION: A projected light image aperture having an aperture part of a shape similar to a target is disposed on a position just near the projected light image incidence side to a projection lens of the image projector for projecting light to a projection screen. In the image projector having a projection lens shifting structure, the structure for interlocking with the vertical shift of the projection lens and automatically shifting the projected light image aperture to an optimum position is disposed.
