PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent retention of air in a pump chamber of a pump arranged in a lower side, without worsening economical efficiency, in a vertical type pump provided with two pumps different in their rotational directions to exert a pump function. SOLUTION: A cleaning pump 16 and a drainage pump 17 are vertically disposed and coupled to a rotary shaft 14. The cleaning pump 16 is constructed to function when the rotary shaft 14 is normally rotated, and the drainage pump 17 is constructed to function when the rotary shaft 14 is reversely rotated. A first pump chamber 27 of the cleaning pump 16 and an inner surface 33a of an upper wall of a second pump chamber 33 of the drainage pump 17 are communicated through a communicating part 38, and the inner surface 33a of upper wall of the second pump chamber 33, connected to the communication part 38, is formed as an upslope toward the communication part 38, so that air in the second pump chamber 33 rises along the inner surface 33a of the upper wall and moves into the communication part 38.
