PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that secret information such as a master finished plate making or the like wound around a print drum can be seen or be transferred to a paper or the like, or secret information of a plate discharge master discharged within a plate discharge box can be taken out and collected by the removal of various units other than a drum unit, even if trying to keep a secret of printed matters including prohibiting additional printing by invalidating a print starting key or a trial printing key as well as constituting a printing apparatus not allowing solely the drive unit to be removed from an apparatus body. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus is equipped with a plotter locking mechanism 38 for locking the removal of a plotter unit 25, a drum unit 50 and a plate discharge unit 82 from a main body frame 2 upon setting a secret keeping mode, a drum locking mechanism 59, a plate discharge locking mechanism 89 and a door locking mechanism 114 of a front door cover 111 to be opened/closed upon attaching/detaching the drum unit 50 and the plate discharge unit 82.
