PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a taper to the side of a container by a simple process. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the tapered cup-shaped container includes a bottomed straight cylindrical body molding process including a first stage process for molding a circular blank into a bottomed straight cylindrical shape and a second stage process for further subjecting the first bottomed straight cylindrical body A1 obtained in the first stage process to deep drawing not only to narrow the mouth part of the cylindrical body A1 but also to increase the depth thereof to obtain a second bottomed straight cylindrical body A2 and a third stage process comprising the third stage tapered cylindrical body molding process continued to this process to mold the second bottomed straight cylindrical body A2 into a bottomed tapered cylindrical shape to mold a bottomed tapered cylindrical body A3 with a taper angleθof 3°.
