<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instant food product in a container designed such that discharged hot water is prevented from being scattered without degrading lowering draining capacity and the flow of hot water being discharged can be centralized. <P>SOLUTION: The side wall of a container main body 20 has a hot water draining pocket 30. The partition plate 32 of the hot water draining pocket has hot water draining openings 33 by which the space 23 of the container main body and the space 31 of the hot water draining pocket communicate. The upper edge 322 of the hot water pocket has almost the same height as a flange 21 and is connected to the flange at both its ends. A lid 10 is sealed onto the flange 21 and the upper edge 322 of the hot water draining pocket, thereby tightly closing the top of the container main body and the top of the hot water draining pocket 30. To drain hot water, the top of the hot water draining pocket is unsealed, and the hot water is discharged out from the space 23 of the container main body through the hot water draining pocket space 31. Consequently, the space 31 of the hot water pocket serves as buffer for the hot water being discharged.
