<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based ink composition high in storage stability when left to stand for a long period/at high temperatures and high in jet stability when using an ink-jet printer. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink composition comprises a coloring material dispersion comprising a dispersion resin including a colorant, acetylene glycol or its ether derivative, a 1-5C monohydric alcohol ≥0.5 wt.% in solubility to water at 20°C, a moisturizer and water. In this ink composition, the dispersion resin consists of a resin insoluble to water singly. This ink composition whose storage stability and jet stability are compatible with each other is prepared as at least one combination that the above alcohol, moisturizer and acetylene glycol or its ether derivative are dissolved mutually. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
