<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high density optical disk for writing and/or reading, which has wear resistance, transparency, slip characteristics, and mechanical characteristics, and does not have warpage. <P>SOLUTION: This optical disk structured by laminating a substrate, a recording layer, a protective layer, and a hard coat layer in this order. The protective layer is a curing layer with a constituent including an urethane (meta)acrylate compound (A), an ethylene based unsaturated compound (B) except (A), and a photopolymerization initiator (C). The hard coat layer is a curing layer with a constituent including an organic coating silica (D) obtained by carrying out the condensation reaction of a hydrolysis product (d2) of colloidal silica particulates (d1) and an organic silane compound, an ethylene based unsaturated compound (E), a slipping agent (F), and a photopolymerization initiator (C).
