<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-piece solid golf ball excellent in the flying performance, capable of providing soft hitting feel. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-piece solid golf ball 10 comprises a solid core 12 comprising an inner layer 18 and an outer layer 20, an intermediate layer 14, and a cover 16 in this order from the internal side. The compressive load necessary for compressing the diameter of a half-product of the solid core 12 covered with the intermediate layer 14 by 10 mm is set smaller than the compressive load necessary for compressing the diameter of the inner layer 18 by 10 mm. The difference between them is, preferably, not more than 1960N. The diameter of the solid core 12 is set 30 mm or above. The intermediate layer 14 is made of thermoplastic resin such as silicone modified thermoplastic elastomer, the thickness of which is at least 0.5 mm, the specific gravity of which is not more than 1.2, and JIS-C hardness of which is not more than 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
