PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which, in the surroundings where foreign matters such as developer scatters, sticking of the foreign matter between the end face of a rotor and the wall of a support part is prevented, and increase in the drive torque of the rotor due to aging is prevented. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 for forming images on a recording medium S includes a container 51 for storing or conveying developer; and the rotor 30 that is pivotally supported by the support part disposed on the container 51 and that has an end face 30a at the axial one end of the rotating body 30, and at least one projection 31, formed on the end face 30a, such that the projections 31 radiate from the rotating central shaft of the rotor 30 and prevent developer from infiltrating the support part.
