PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line post insulator that can prevent a ground fault accident due to contacting by other object between a pair of arc horns even when the charging side arc horn is exposed from a cover, or there is no cover on the charging side arc horn. SOLUTION: This is the line post insulator 1 which has a charging side arc horn 5 and a ground side arc horn, and is installed with a ground side cover 8 for covering the ground side arc horn 6. Thereby, even if the charging side arc horn 5 is exposed from a charging side cover 7, and a bird or the like sits on the ground side cover 8 covering the ground side arc horn 6 and makes contact with the charging side arc horn 5, a ground fault accident is prevented since the ground side arc horn 6 is insulation protected by the ground side cover 8.
