PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily and reliably attach a light-shielding material to a desired part of a cartridge shell plate, without deforming the cartridge shell plate. SOLUTION: The light-shielding material attaching device 20 comprises a conveyance mechanism 22 for conveying a a sheet metal 2, previously formed in a boat form; a plurality of pressure rollers 46, arranged on at least one end side of the sheet metal 2 to press a light-shielding ribbon 5a on the straight part 3 of the sheet metal 2; and a driving mechanism for rotating the pressure rollers 46, in synchronism with the conveyance mechanism 22.
