PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens moving device which can reduce the cost while using a shape memory alloy. SOLUTION: A shape memory alloy wire 9 is wound around an interrupted toothing gear wheel 8, and the interrupted toothing gear wheel 8 is rotated by the variation in the line length of the shape memory alloy wire 9. The interrupted toothing gear wheel 8 of the internal teeth gear is meshed with a small gear wheel 18 of the external gear wheel, and the rotation of the small gear wheel 18 is converted into the movement of a lens by a conversion mechanism constituted by a switch lever 19, a variable power lens slide bar 21, and a focusing lens slide bar 31. The variation in the line length of the shape memory alloy wire 9, which is expanded between the interrupted toothing gear wheel 8 and the external gear wheel 18, is transmitted to the lens.
