PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a mirror device in which reflected light beams being reflected by a mirror do not include reflected light beams being reflected at other portions and to provide an optical scanner and an image display device using the mirror device so that a plurality of images are not overlapped with each other in a double and triple manner. SOLUTION: The mirror device is provided with a casing 2 which is constituted of a polyhedron, a light taking-in port 6 which has an opening at a prescribed surface of the casing 2, a light taking-out port 8 which has an opening at a surface that differs from the surface of the light taking-in port 6 of the casing 2 and is closed by a light transmissive member 10 and a main mirror 4 which is used to reflect the incident light beams from the light taking-in port 6 in the casing 2 to the light taking-out port 8.
