DEVICE AND METHOD FOR WINDING UNPROCESSED MATERIAL BELT PIECE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact device and a method capable of surely winding an unprocessed material belt piece. SOLUTION: This device has a rotatingly drivable winder 18. This winder has a storage part 19 for a material web 13 or the unprocessed material belt piece. The device winds the unprocessed material belt piece in a device for particularly connecting the material web 13 running out of a first bobbin to a material web running in from a second bobbin. An element 20 for holding or capturing a material belt piece is arranged in a range of the storage part 19. This method guides the material web 13 or the material belt piece via the storage part 19 of a winding element 18 resting in a connecting process of the material web 13; winds the material belt piece by rotating the winding element 18 just before finishing the connecting process or simultaneously with the finish or just after the finish; and actively holds or captures the material belt piece in the storage part when starting rotation of at least the winding element 18.
