PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for evaluating maintenance work on a lift, whereby the appropriateness of the work is scrutinized and working time can be measured when the maintenance work is properly performed and completed. SOLUTION: This means comprises: a timer 22 started by work starting input 31 from a portable terminal 3 held by a workman and stopped by work completing input 32; a communicating means 21 communicating information with a maintenance information data base 5 at a maintenance company through an outside line 4; a storing means 23 automatically storing planned work action 23c occurring in previously stored maintenance work, lift action history 23b obtained from a lift control device 1 during maintenance work, and operation history 23a consisting of input information from the portable terminal 3; and a collating means 24 collating the planned work action 23c of the storing means 23 with the action history 23b and operation history 23a. The collating means 24 registers in the maintenance work data base 5 the measured time of the timer 22 as the working time 25 of work completion information 26 if all collated results have matched, or resets the timer 22 and reports the portable terminal 3 about the insufficiency of the maintenance work contents if the results do not match.
