PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jib drop preventing mechanism for a crane truck in which unexpected drop of a jib can be prevented even in a case where a boom is hoisted to swing a jib without installing a jib attaching pin. SOLUTION: A first drop preventing engagement part 40 comprising a stay 41 and an engagement pin 42 is provided on the jib 4. A drop preventing engagement part and jib fixing bracket 20 to function as a second drop preventing engagement part is provided on an outer cylinder 14 of the boom 3. In a case where the jib 4 is swung without proper attachment of a base part of the jib 4 to a jib foot part 6, the load of the jib 4 is supported by the outer cylinder 14 of the boom 3 through the stay 41 and the drop preventing engagement part and jib fixing bracket 20, thereby drop of the jib 4 is prevented.
