PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf member, and a shelf, formed of foam material having proper elasticity, which can be jointed with each other in a height direction to compose a shelf of a plurality of stages. SOLUTION: This shelf member A comprises a placement part 1 on which objects are placed, raised parts 2 formed at both ends of the placement part 1, protrusions 3 provided on upper surfaces of the raised parts 2, and engagement parts 4 formed in a bottom surface 1a of the placement part 1 at opposing positions to the protrusions 3 to be engaged with the protrusions 3. It is composed of a foam material having proper elasticity. For the shelf C, the protrusions 3 provided on the upper surfaces of the raised parts 2 of one shelf member A are engaged with the engagement parts 4 formed in another shelf member A, so that they are jointed with each other.
