PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide matted printed matter which has a glossed portion and a matted portion that has a feel of precise indentations, on the same printed surface, and which can be worked with high productivity and at an inexpensive cost and has the feel of indentations, and a working method thereof. SOLUTION: This matted printed matter A is constituted by a method wherein a printed layer 2 is provided on a base 1 by gravure printing and wherein a lower printed layer 3 is provided partially or wholly on the surface of the printed layer by the gravure printing using ink constituted by adding a silicone of 1-15% by weight to a resin being the main material and an overcoat layer 4 is provided on the surfaces of the printed layer and the lower printed layer by coating, and it is so constituted that the portion of the overcoat layer overlapping with the lower printed layer is made the matted portion having the feel of indentations, while the other portion is made the glossed portion, so that it has the feel of indentations. The matted printed matter is worked so that the printed layer, the lower printed layer and the overcoat layer are provided in one process by a gravure printing press. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
