ELIMINATING METHOD, ELIMINATING DEVICE OF ENDOTOXIN, AND ADSORBENT FOR BLOOD PURIFICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device capable of effectively eliminating an endotoxin present in a blood or a plasma under both light irradiation condition or light blocking condition using titanium dioxide, and to provide an adsorbent for blood purification properly used in the same. SOLUTION: The endotoxin in the blood or the plasma discharged from a container is reduced by passing the blood or the plasma including the endotoxin through the container accommodating titanium dioxide particulates obtained by heat treating at 550°C or lower the precipitate obtained by treating a titanium alkoxide compound in the solution of a volatile acidic or alkaline compound and having a specific surface area of 20 m2/g or greater, an average pore size of from 150Åto 300Å, a component ratio of crystal structure being (anatase/rutile)<90/10 under the light irradiation condition or light blocking condition.
