PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner with improved usability, having a second suction nozzle to be attached to/detached from a first suction nozzle. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner comprises an electric blower 2 for generating suction wind, the first suction nozzle 8 for sucking dust from a cleaned face, the second suction nozzle 9 attached to/detached from the first suction nozzle 8 to communicate with the electric blower 2, having a function of sucking dust from the cleaned face, and a control means 10 for controlling the electric power of the electric blower 2 in a plurality of modes. The control means 10 changes the mode of the electric blower to a mode in which the electric power is the maximum when the second suction nozzle 9 is detached from the first suction nozzle 8. When the second suction nozzle 9 is detached from the first suction nozzle 8 and is used independently, the mode of the electric blower is automatically changed so that the electric power is the maximum.
