When the sunroof is moved to the back a u-shaped wind deflecting element (18) with a triangular cross section and open at the bottom is slightly lifted at the front of the opening. The central segment of the deflector (18) is provided with a multitude of openings (24) guiding the air (28) into a space behind the element (18) and down to a stop (30). A sealing element (32) is inserted between the lower edge of the deflector (18) and the front edge of the roof opening, preventing the air stream (28) from entering the passenger cabin.
