A mechanism according to the present invention contains shafts for drive transmission by means of the intersecting transmission angle gear (2) and (4) as well as containing a propeller hoisting installation characteristic of its feature that in the propeller's vertical column (9) axis of rotation there is provided for the drive transmitting shafts an intermediate engaging element, mounted in at least two transmission gears. The intermediate element may be in particular in form of an intermediate shaft (3a), or in form of an intermediate toothed gear (3b). The invention is applicable for drive transmission purposes at floating units that require propellers adapted to be hoisted periodically up.
