<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize cost reduction of a controller and a control system by measuring the direction of an object to be controlled with high precision, and for performing processing by a control means in an extremely short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: This direction control system is provided with an image pickup means for generating smear in the predetermined direction of a generated image when photographing a high luminance object and a direction control means for specifying the reference direction of the image pickup means.
