摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the generation of engagement shock in switching the rotating direction in a power transmitting device applying a two-way clamp. <P>SOLUTION: Pole parts 9 of a first cage A1 and a second cage A2 are mounted between an outer ring 1 having a cylindrical inner face 6 and an inner ring 3 having a cam face 7 on its outer periphery, guide holes 18a, 18b inclined in the directions opposite to each other are formed on the pole parts 9 of the cages A1, A2, a switch hole 19 long in the circumferential direction is formed on a cylindrical part 5 of the inner ring 3, and switch pins 20 are inserted into intersecting parts of the switch holes 19 and the guide holes 18a, 18b, and fixed to pin holders 21. In this power transmitting device, the first cage A1 and the second cage A2 are rotated relatively in the opposite directions by being pressed by elastic members 12, a pair of rollers 11a, 11b are held on positions where very small clearances are formed with a cylindrical inner face 6 by the contact of end faces of the guide holes 18a, 18b with the switch pins 20, and the rollers 11a, 11b are engaged by slight rotation of the inner ring 3, whereby the generation of engagement shock can be inhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
