<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated teller machine that can prevent an illegal transaction by comparing, for verification, content recording a face image picked up by imaging means for picking up a user's face image with a face image registered in advance, for example, when the user has opened the account, and if they do not match, for example, guiding to a counter. <P>SOLUTION: The automated teller machine for automating a predetermined transaction upon a user's operation comprises at least the imaging means for picking up the user's face image, a hard disk capable of recording the face image picked up by the imaging means along with the transaction content, and an interface capable of outputting the recorded data.
