<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate method for suppressing the warp of a rolled material at its tip end in rough rolling when a high silicon steel material having a particularly unusual transformation range is rolled. <P>SOLUTION: The method for suppressing the warp of the rolled material at tip end is carried out as follows. A high silicon steel material containing at most 0.005 mass% C, 0.6 to 1.7 mass% Si, and at most 0.9 mass% Mn is heated in a heating furnace. When a steel plate is manufactured by hot rolling, the heated slab is rolled by rough rolling and finish rolling. In this case, the temperature distribution of the material to be rolled in the thickness direction at the positions before and after each rolling stand in the rough rolling is estimated. The temperature of the upper and lower surfaces of the material to be rolled is controlled from the estimated temperature distribution and the contents of Si and Al of the material to be rolled such that the structure of the upper and lower surfaces of the material to be rolled at the positions before and after the respective rolling stands becomes the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
