PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent solidification of low temperature liquefied gas without using an electric heater in a device cooling low temperature liquefied gas such as liquid nitrogen to a supercooling temperature under the atmospheric pressure by a GM refrigerating machine, and cooling a superconductive member by the supercooled liquid nitrogen. SOLUTION: In the superconductive member cooling device, mixed gas of adding gas (for example, nitrogen gas) of the same type as the low temperature liquefied gas (for example, liquid nitrogen) to gaseous helium is used as a working mixture for the refrigerating machine, and a temperature of the low temperature liquefied gas in a heat insulation vessel is prevented from dropping to a solidification temperature or less. Particularly, in the mixed gas, proportions of the low temperature liquefied gas to the gas of the same type are within a range of 3-30vol%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
