PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform channel pre-setting without preserving the data for channel pre-setting which is never to be used. SOLUTION: In the receiving system, a channel information receivable in a dwelling area is acquired from an external server 124 through a communication I/F 121 and is temporarily saved in a download data temporary saving memory 125, and based on the saved channel information, the channel selecting data are stored in a set data storing memory 119 for each channel position for channel pre-setting. With the channel selecting data attached with expiration date, channel pre-setting is performed again based on a new channel information acquired from the server 124 when expired. In the area of such environment as the same program from the same operating body is broadcasted through varying channels, all the receivable channels are attached with an identity information and channel pre-setting is performed based on the identity information.
