PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device which realizes high accuracy, high resolution and diversification of a computation table and can implement another computation processing, controlling or the like in its free ROM space. SOLUTION: The measuring device 1, which is provided with an external medium 5, measures a signal from a sensor 7 arranged in a measuring object 6, controls a control object 8 to a target value in accordance with the result of the measurement, and outputs the result of the measurement to a recording medium. A variable and a fixed value, which software deployed in the internal ROM 3 of the measuring device 1 uses, and a table used in computation or the like are preliminarily stored in the external medium 5 so that they may meet a user's type of usage. When processing is executed by the software, a necessary table is read by a CPU 4 from the external medium 5 and stored in a RAM 2.
