PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous solid drawing material, particularly a wax-containing luminous solid drawing material such as crayon, oil pastel, etc., which yields a coating film which has a long afterglow and emits light over a long period of time, even after photoirradiation is stopped, without deteriorating its suitability to writing and drawing. SOLUTION: The luminous solid drawing material essentially comprises a luminous pigment, an extender, wax and oil and yields a writing or a coating film showing an afterglow over a longer period of time than that in conventional solid drawing materials in the absence of photoirradiation.
